Wonderful to see this and yes it's a perfect stop in my ICE vehicle days as @Motion122 says above. This is the most logical stop between where I live and Santa Barbara. You can see in this thread I was "working on" this one but gave up:

Since we were driving by, I thought a stop in search of activity was in order.
Short answer = nothing doing.
Nice big underutilized parking lot at this Burger Thing though, and a Mexican restaurant is nearby just south of the Shell station.

I stop by that Safeway parking lot last summer because I want to detour to highway 25 instead of continuing on 101 toward Silicon Valley. I remember using one of the 3 ChargePoint chargers to top off my Model S (via a CHAdeMO adapter). The charging was free, interesting, not sure if it's temporary or free all the time.

According to the ChargePoint app, it's actually $0.50/kWh 4-9pm and $0.40/kWh the rest of the time. If you remain plugged in more than 1.5 hours they tack on $0.10/min as well.

You need to quote what you are referring to. The previous post that you may have been referring to was talking about other charge sites and except for Tesla there are no compatible chargers in Greenfield, and only the one City of Soledad J1772, but that is at least it's a FREE charger like the charge @5Wheeler got in King City. But then, there's a free J1772 in King City too if the gates are open.

The picture with my P85D charging at the King City Charge Point DCFC was from Feb of 2021. It may be during the pandemic it was set to free temporarily.
