Sure, but while we're being pedantic a typical DC fast charger contains:
A rectifier to rectify the ~415V AC 3-phase grid voltage to DC (~600V DC)
An inverter that turns that DC back into AC at a target voltage
Another rectifier that converts that AC back to DC resulting in the exact voltage required to match (and slightly exceed) your battery voltage.
That seems inefficient…

All unavoidable steps in taking high voltage AC grid power and gently easing it into batteries not much larger than AA.

Each step has losses, and lots of research has gone into making those losses as small as they are.

Not my photo. But, taken today. Seems like no change since the last photo.

Any more news? The holidays are a week away and I'd love to roll in the Tesla but it's a bit hairy Coffs Harbour to Gold Coast in a 70.
Coffs to Gold Coast should be easy in a 70 as have gone both ways in my 70D fully loaded with luggage and pax with careful driving at around speed limit.

Last time I skipped Coffs and went straight from Port SC to Ballina for a small top up before heading to GC.

Do you have access to a charger on the Gold Coast?
