yeah, some cleaning definitely needed and new stripes.
As of today, the pavement has been redone and new striping is in, looks great. It’s probably waiting for final city inspector approval. A few days ago the fencing was removed and screening plants put in to eventually hide the large white cabinets alongside the street. I’d guess turn on will be next week, although getting an inspector is a slow process based on my experience.

Considering where the fence was I didn't expect them to restripe the left side facing East. Makes them look like they're double-sided chargers which is interesting.

If they were going to do this I wonder why they didn't turn the pedestals to make them pull through spots?

This will be good when Tesla opens Superchargers to all EVs, since many other manufacturers put their charging ports in the wrong spot to be compatible with typical Supercharger layouts.
I assume this means the cables are longer since it would be easy for a Tesla driver to get confused depending on which side/space you back into for a given charger. Also I notice there are two handicap stalls, which is strange unless they are much wider for those that need to use a walker or wheel chair..

I was just at Castaic, which has spots on either side. The side that everyone was using had the "EV Charging Only" red sign. Interestingly, it was the opposite side stall that had the classic black and white bump stop.

Pedestals are still bagged as of 1PM today. A single contractor truck was onsite, although just looked like he was doing a quick inspection (i.e. no tools or crew).

Possibly unrelated but SCE had damn near 30 contractors of different types up Muirlands, Southeast of the site. Digging and also up on poles.

Now I'm really confused as these new stalls have neither red signs nor bump stops and cables don't look long enough to reach across from the other side of the car.
There are two stalls tucked away in one corner across the aisle adjacent to the cabinets then two more stalls with disabled parking. I think the two off in the corner are likely to be swapped out for Magic Docks later to allow non-Teslas to charge there as well based on stuff I've read elsewhere indicating not all stalls will be open to non-Teslas and nor all SC stations.

I am confused by the layout as well. There are bump stops are on each side of the main aisle. Why didn't they just make them pull-thru stalls? Still covered as of this morning. With this layout, people will need to realize it's the other side diagonal to them that would be blocking the charger. This is going to be very interesting to see in action.

But, on the bright side it's the first BEV charging site I've seen with trash can and recycle bins. :D
