Maybe, we can hope so. But I think he could have a better view of Oahu locations from Oahu, on Oahu than looking from Maui or Lanai.
Side-note unrelated to the Tesla superchargers... The Four Seasons Manele is adding 8 additional EV chargers: KivaNet 9.1.2.1 At this rate, EV chargers may soon outnumber people on Lanai.
It would be nice to see some more solar installations on Lana’i. It’s still primarily diesel at this point (>75%).
I wouldn't be surprised if the Lana'i supercharger ends up being a private, unlisted location. Maybe this is evidence of that...
Probably will be, but I don’t think Larry would mind if the locals or any visitors used his charging stations
Larry owns most of the island, and there are only a few locals, most working for him. There is minimal visitor support, such as hotels, restaurants, car rentals and touristy sites. Larry owns all the hotels for example. It wouldn't surprise me if all car rentals (besides 4x4 Jeeps etc.) are EVs real soon. Lanai might be the first "almost" all-EV location in the world. Lots of chargers and charging locations will be part of that.
