Supercharger - Lansing, MI - South Pennsylvania Ave

Over on forum.supercharge.info user Jackiebird reported discovering a new Supercharger under construction at the Meijer at 6200 S Pennsylvania Ave, Lansing MI.

Curious if this makes the other Lansing location completely obsolete. It is arguably the worst Supercharger Station in the entire state because of trash, lack of nearby restrooms and open places to get food, within walking distance, I've always had terribly slow charging regardless of preconditioning or how many other cars are present at this station.

I agree on the other Lansing location, it is terrible. I've only had to stop and charge there a couple of times traveling across the state and it was terrible. Add in the construction around Lansing with highways closed, its a pain. This is much needed.

Its Lansing, there is nothing great about it. Coming from a guy that used to live there. Only good thing is MSU. But this isn't the forum for that.

I noticed it’s showing up as available in my car now. Anybody used it? Wish they’d put this on that 69/96 corridor west of town, but glad to have a new, faster charger in the area.

Not seeing in either of ours. Maybe you saw the existing charger in Lansing. I will head up today and check. If the new one isn't on I will go over to older Lansing charger. Seems a lot of complaining about trash on other location. So I will go pick some up.

Service person was there yesterday when we went to check it out. Had one of the chargers tore apart. I was not in the Tesla so I didn't try it out.

Different then the Mackinaw City charger this has both sides available.

This location is now showing as open on Tesla's Find Us site, although it's only named "Lansing, MI". Could someone local confirm that it's operational, and post a screenshot of what it's named in the car?

Edit add: EC must have been in a hurry. I count at least a dozen missing torx bolts, and 5 found in parking spaces. Busted shell.

@corywright , here is a picture from the center console on my car showing my last supercharging session. Hard to know if this is the name Tesla will keep calling it.
