I think I stumbled across a Supercharger in the permitting process at the North Premium Outlets.

    L19-00185 - OffSite Permit (OffSite)
Primary Applicant is listed as Tesla Energy, along with NV Energy and SIMON CHELSEA LV DEV, LLC

Great find! This location is very near the spaghetti bowl interchange and will probably get a lot of use.

It looks like Tesla submitted a revised application for this site. It is still in permit status, but it will be a V3 (!!!) supercharger! Hooray!

    Permit & Application Status

"Scope of Work: Updated electrical. Changes to the replacement of V2 Tesla Charging cabinets to Telsa V3 charging cabinets."

Looks like permitting is finally passing. Electrical and tech review both passed in the last week. The permit was issued today, so I presume they'll start work soon.

Possible construction? I didn't get a picture this morning, but it seems they're working on the parking lot in the NW corner of the site. If you exit NB I-15 at Charleston, and take the exit across for the Alta/Bonneville exit you can see where it looks like they're building a retaining wall, it might also be where they are going to put the SC station. It seemed like the parking lot section is closed (didn't see any cars in that section, only work trucks).

I drove by today and nothing happening. I saw what you said, pallets with cinderblocks for the wall maybe but nothing beyond that. I also didn’t want to pay $8 to go see either.

Seems like a horrible spot though. That shopping area is always busy and I’m assuming it’ll be a code to get in like the Linq since it’s paid parking there. We need a SC on the NW side of town. Like Sky Pointe Canyon in the Smith’s parking lot

No visible construction from where I drive past the outlet mall. The area where they were building the retaining wall is completed and I don't see any further sign of construction.

Some fences are up around near the same area where they built the retaining wall before, but facing Alta/Bonneville now. No explicit sign that it is for Tesla SC but that is the only activity I see going on at this site.

Drove by again today. I’m now 90% sure it’s construction for the super charger. Saw 2-3 cabinet-looking things and a backhoe trenching.

Sorry for the potato quality. But those look like wrapped up SC cabinets to me.

I stopped by 17 March and took some pictures from the parking garage. Trench work and pipe work is in the process. You can see the curb structure too. It’s going to be a mess to get to these chargers when done but at least there’s plenty to do once you’re parked and charging.

Sorry some of the thumbnail pics aren’t loading...

I ventured out today (14 April 2020) to check status on the build. Doesn’t look like anything has happened, bummer.
