Colorado Springs, Colorado. We discovered the hard way on our way to Nashville, TN. The stop was included in our journey and it was our first time every having to pay to get into a Supercharger location. Wasn't the last though unfortunately.

Come on man. It's FREE to park there during business hours and $1 after hours. Also, it's 55 miles from the Lone Tree supercharger. Try again.

No, it wasn't free and it wasn't $1 as you claim.

We paid more than a buck to charge and were there less than an hour. We were also on a trip out-of-state so when we arrived, realized it was going to cost us we had no way to travel back to Lone Tree on roughly 40 miles of range. You're honestly saying that going back the way we just came 55 miles on 40 miles of indicated range is a viable solution?

While what we paid aren't going to put us in the poor house it's the principal. They could have chose literally any other location to put that Supercharger in and it would have been no free to users. In fact, we had to travel further off of the interstate to access it which I would have much rather not done. There are a number of locations they could have chose on I25 that wouldn't have cost users a penny to use... just like most other locations.

This conversation is getting off track with deeper conversation that isn't about the Vegas Supercharger specifically. My over-arching point is that Tesla needs to choose locations that don't incur additional fees for it's users because it's silly not to.

Of course that's not what I'm saying. These type of strawman arguments may work when debating with morons, but they aren't going to work on this forum.

Your initial quote was: "My statements were general statements about putting Superchargers in pay-to-park locations. Other areas where this is the case don't have other options within 100+ miles either."

I then asked you to provide one such example. You provided Colorado Springs. The Colorado Springs supercharger is 55 miles from the Lone Tree supercharger which offers FREE parking. So you have not been able to provide even one example supporting your initial claim.

It was $1 when I charged there (it was a holiday so no attendant present) and the most recent posts in the thread say it costs $1 after hours. If you have more recent information, please update the thread:

    Well back to topic

Charged here this whole week. There some construction going on so you will need to let the guy know you are charging to let you through.

8-9 stations were not working, I’ve emailed Tesla.

the charge rate is reduced. At best I get 50kw but last night average around 30kw

This reduced charge rate and 8-9 not working makes me wonder if the utility/power customer (casino) is responsible. Maybe the construction going on so close that power is coming from a temporary source/transformer that can't handle the full load demand. Just guessing as it seems weird that one of Tesla's newest supercharger v3 would be defunct already, barring sabotage.

On my way to Vegas right now. Anyone know if the destination chargers are fine? It’s the reason we stay at linq and will need them for our stay.

Should be. There’s plenty in that area of the Linq, I’m sure they can’t all be down. The ones on Bridger worked fine mid-Oct. Just got my 240V installed at my house today if you need a backup!

About 5 or 6 of the destination chargers are not working. I think 4-5 are good to go. Charging now!

they must know already since the whole site is showing as reduced service. Major construction is happening and you can’t even get to the Superchargers area unless you’re a in a tesla.

I've stayed at the linq earlier this year. Valet parking has a L2 charger they will plug in for you so you need destination charger. But destination charger are fine, 15 bucks daily fee to charge

I charged here today. It's a construction site, but the guys will wave you through if you tell them you want to charge. Many of the stalls appear to be non-functional and none of them are numbered which is super strange. I only got about 70kW with a 45% SOC. Was able to get in and out without paying, no problem.

In-car nav is now saying "temporary closure." I hope this gets resolved quickly.

Yeah... been like that for a week. As a local it’s been odd to see the closure icon

The nav said the same thing the week I was there, but can still charge. Only 1/2 of the chargers we're operational.

They're not numbered because V3 superchargers are not paired.

They still number them. And from what I have seen with a number/letter just like V1 and V2 Superchargers. (You have to be able to report which stall has a problem.) And they do share a cabinet...
