The lot exit gate just tried to charge $25 for 35 minutes there, after I had used the code on the map info. There were three cars ahead of me that just went around the gate, as there was plenty of room.

/shrug

If memory serves, you have 30 minutes free

You have one hour and you just have to press the CALL button, let them know you were there to charge (yes I understand it's a "duh" thing). I was there over the weekend and did this. It's also the same deal with the North Premium Outlets

Yes the car nav info says one hour. It’s totally a duh thing as there’s virtually no other parking spots in that lot.

So TODAY just one day later, from the hotel I am staying in, I see they have put up the parking barriers to prevent side stepping the exit gate. I observed a couple people seem to just enter their tickets at the turnstile, and the gate opened pretty immediately. No time spent running a credit card or pressing the CALL button. Again, /shrug. Hopefully it will be stress free next time I charge.

They may have actually gone inside the casino and validated the ticket. Or they may have a platinum (or higher) players card which gets them free parking. I'm not sure if the machine at the gate accepts the players cards, but I know you can validate a ticket with a players card at the machines inside the casino.

I've never had to hit the call button. I just re-insert my ticket and it lets me out of the lot.

As a finale to my adventures here, I charged Wednesday night at the LINQ supercharger. Typed the code from the car's nav at the gate off Linq Ln. and it told me to take a ticket from the gate. Went in, charged 45 minutes, drove up to the exit gate. The barriers that prevent sidestepping the exit gate were there. The ticket machine took my ticket and opened the gate, easy peasy this time.

It seems that when I arrived on Sunday there must have been some known issue with the ticketing, so management removed the exit barriers to deal with it until they could address the ticketing issue.

This seems to be fairly common. Although I don’t charge here frequently (approx 6 times per year) the gates are removed or disabled about 50% of the time…

it's very misleading since most people don't care about destination chargers

I do not disagree that if Tesla includes destination chargers as Superchargers that it is misleading. Clearly if one is in need of a charge to continue on their journey, it would be frustrating to see that all SC were in use.

On the other hand, many people would care about destination chargers at this spot because it is at a casino. They plan to spend some time eating or gambling so do not wish to be concerned with idle fees or charging to 100% and letting their car sit for a long period of time. So a four-hour charge at 9kW would add enough range for their immediate needs.

Tesla ought to segregate locations like these. How hard can it be to reflect 24 Superchargers at X kW and 12 destination chargers up to Y kW?

Those who care should petition Elon to put a boring station nearby
no need. Linq is on the map already as a Main Artery stop and a Caesers Loop stop assuming I'm reading this right.

I charged here back in December 2022 with no issues.

I just heard that there is no longer free 1 hour parking. Apparently Caesars Entertainment (owner's of the Linq) changed the policy? Caesers Rewards Platinum members and above still get free parking here.

Someone reported it on Yelp:

Anyone also able to confirm?
