Supercharger - Lawton, OK

Does anyone know if they're planning anything along the 44?

With the closest supercharger to the south of OKC and Weatherford being in the next state (Henrietta TX) it doesn't give ya much room for sightseeing along the 44. It'd be nice to see a Supercharger station in possibly Lawton. Kind of a midway point to comfort ya on those windy days. Plus there's an airport there and Ft Sill that normally have folks coming through for short stays.

Personally, I believe whenever a SC station is built it just helps bring possible customers to the local businesses located nearby too.

It's not currently on Tesla's map of proposed, near-term future locations: Find Us | Tesla

Which means that it's likely not somewhere that they are currently putting active effort into developing. But if you know the owner of a good property for a supercharger--i.e. one that has good access to I-44, sufficient spare parking space, and where there are decent amenities within short walking distance--and they would consider hosting, you might be able to entice Tesla into considering it. I grew up in Lawton and would really like to see a Supercharger go in there. I would use it on trips home. It also is a good midway location on the I-44 corridor. There are some excellent locations at the Gore Boulevard exit. Several hotels and restaurants west of the exit and a casino with a huge parking lot east of it. It really seems as if Tesla has really slowed down on the supercharger installations. All the coming locations I have been watching in New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma have been coming for the last three years. I can't think of a single one that has been completed. So It will be a long wait.

In that area, (not I-44), the whole stretch form Oklahoma City to Memphis could use a couple more superchargers. It is pretty much a black hole for cars that aren't long range.
Ya, I just ordered my M3 yesterday. Ya, Finally! So I have playing around with trip planning Albuquerque to Lawton. Looks like the only option is to divert south to Childress to arrive in Lawton with any reasonable battery life remaining. In Lawton, it looks like I'm stuck with bumming 240V plugins from family and friends.

You'd be left with more range going through Weatherford than Childress. Although it does add about 15-20 minutes to your trip.
