You asked why, I answered.Until Elon decides to do that, the Superchargers are where they're at.

BTW get the PlugShare app if you haven't already. I was amazed at how many FREE charging stations are available. Last trip to Lubbock we charged at the Audi dealer. You asked why, I answered.
They put a charger in at Denison before the smokehouse went in..Spoke to a Lubbock contact today, and their impression is that construction of the Toot N Totem on Zenith won’t begin until late 2022. If Tesla is using this site for a supercharger, then we likely won’t have anything until well into 2023.
I’m hoping 1801 Crickets is still a possibility. There have been no recent filings for 1801 Crickets though.
Yes, 72kw would let you get to Sweetwater on a 1/2 hour charge. Much better that the 4 hours it now takes.Based on previous comments, it sounds like their backup plan is to install a set of temporary SuperChargers at the Service Center. Fingers crossed these go in sooner rather than later.
I do the same thing!Toot N Totem should have designed their new location in Plainview TX with superchargers in mind. To me that would have been an excellent location on I-27. Every time I drive by on the highway I look over and see potential areas where they could have been placed. Oh well.
Fingers (and toes) still crossed for a portable/temporary SuperCharger at the Service Center, ASAP...Ugh.Pushed out another quarter. View attachment 798495

Twitter integration in your Tesla. So, what’s going to happen first? FSD in the city more safe than a human driver, or the Lubbock supercharger?
Certainly.Does anyone know if a temporary SuperCharger requires a permit?
