The new location may be at the southern end of Tom Hill Blvd, near or behind the Pet Supermarket. If you are in the area, stop by and look for signs of construction. And of course also look for permits, although I don't think Macon/Bibb has those available online.

I stopped by this location last night. I spotted what appeared to be surveying lines in the parking lot north of the building. If you are passing through and have 15 minutes to kill, detour to this location to see if anything is happening yet. Note that location I'm suspecting here is between the Panera Bread and the Papa Johns.

265 Tom Hill Sr Blvd, Macon, GA 31210

To be clear, I'm just guessing, but I think we'll know in a few weeks.

Stopped by this afternoon. Sorry no new pictures; the parking lot was very busy and too many cars driving around for me to stand in a good place to get a good one. There are 9 pedestals right now. The transformer is in place, along with 5 of the large white cabinets that serve each pair of pedestals. There didn't appear to be any more room for additional cabinets, so my best guess is 10 total plugs. The power is being supplied from the Batteries + Bulbs building and I found what I believe is the housing for the new power meter, which is (of course) not installed yet.

BINGO! Precisely where I speculated it would be :)

I'm a little bummed that I didn't get to be the one to confirm construction. For a week I've been planning to drive by there Tuesday afternoon (and still am). Missed it by two days :)

I don't think it should get its own thread, as long as we think it's likely that the old site will be shut down. And I sure do. Ditto for Augusta, as I stated there.

Are they shutting down all the ancient Superchargers in urban centers now?

As planned, I stopped by this evening. There are TEN pedestals, matching the five cabinets.

There is an OLD utility transformer nearby, and right in front of it is new gigantic conduit coming out of the ground. I bet the new transformer lands right there later this week. Well, hmmm, it would need a concrete pad first ...

Fence is down. Still no transformer or pad where the conduit is sticking out of the ground. 5 spaces marked Tesla charging only; the rest are marked 30 minute general parking. ICEing may be a problem here but the delivery drivers for panera and papa john's may keep the spaces turned over quickly.

An area Tesla owner stopped by Sunday evening and spotted the transformer, in a different spot than I expected. (Dunno what that new conduit was for, now.) It is to the far left of the 3 separate chargers and actually has “Tesla supercharger” written on it*.

He talked to the contractor, apparently working on a Sunday. They are done. They are waiting on Georgia Power to tie into the transformer (set the meter), then the contractor and Tesla will do final commissioning and checkout. They expected 7-10 more days, so should be done by Christmas.

* At an Electrify America installation in the Atlanta suburbs (not a Tesla site), the transformer also has "Tesla" scribbled on it. Seems the utility crews think "EV charging" equals "Tesla" :)

Just to head it off ... Someone posted in a Facebook group last night that they had called one of the adjacent stores and talk to an employee who said that the stations were live. They are not (confirmed at noon today) although I expect we will see them online about a week from now. Frankly that is a rookie move, calling adjacent businesses and expecting good information from whoever answers the phone :)

I also stopped by around 5pm and confirmed they are not live. The large conduit that was sticking out of the ground at the old transformer is gone and the new transformer is in place. It looks like the electric meter will be locked in a box, so I don't know if it's installed yet. Attaching a couple more pictures.
