Been watching a new location at the Sheetz on US29 and US130 get closer to done over a few weeks. Eight stalls. I don’t see a meter base and the cabinets are still wrapped, so I’m curious to see how much longer. This puts a SC on each of the north and south sides of Lynchburg on 29 and 460 routes.

I live fairly close to this one, it is convenient from 29. It's interesting that Sheetz decided to put another SuC so close to the one near the Lynchburg airport though. Having both will distribute the load between the two I guess, which will be a good thing. The one near the airport is frequently ICEd (and the free air hose creates a line that can block most of the stalls and creates headache). I really wish that Sheetz would build on route 29 S near Danville and put in SuCs there, that stretch of highway really needs charging infrastructure.

I've seen one car charging there on one of my drives by in recent weeks. I always glance at the count on the map when I'm in the vicinity, too. The other day it seemed there were cars (per the map), so when I was nearby, I took a glance and was totally NOT surprised to see it was devolving into ICE parking (three of the eight bays)... something I totally expected around here. :(
