Okay thanks. That never occurred to me. The two cables are spaced maybe two feet apart so it seems like one cable would be sufficient whether the car’s charge port was located like Tesla’s are or center front like a Leaf. I am not aware of any EV where the charge port is center rear.The official answer for why some are dual CCS is so that they can easily serve cars with CCS ports in any location on the car. Don't need to worry that different makes put the charging ports on different sides or at different ends of the car, one of the cables will always reach.
