Not sure I would try to drive away, if they hd a gun. There is a good point here camera and gas stations. SC don’t have cameras..that is a fair concern.

The guys probably knows you have a cell phone. So he will take that away. What do you do at 2am with no cell after an arm robbery, without a cell phone. Where do you go to call 911? How about an emergency button or cell phone at one of the Stalls?

The Markham supercharger is a 2 minute drive from the nearest police station by the way...

What would be nice is a hidden override feature, barely visible outside of the car, which would call the cops for you there and then. The problem is, this could also happen at your local charger. True sometimes there is an entourage but not at 12 am at night.

Simplist solution? Put a panic button on the charger screen. You hit that and your car summons help via its cell link, either calling the cops itself, or having someone at Tesla do it. Car knows where it is, the supercharger locations are all available to Tesla, and the car can be tracked if it leaves the supercharger before the cops get there.

You sure? A more subtle placement would do it better, like steeping on the gas pedal while stopped, a little icon pops up , if you press it overrides and calls the cops. Having an icon on the screen would really get people screwed, first of all if you don’t where it is it could take 10 min to override and the gun pointer would have already shot you and 2, what about kids? What if they click it not knowing wth is going on?

How about pressing on the pedal 3 times, then the accelerator 2times, the open and close door? If you enter the sequence correctly it calls the cops?!

I do like the idea of a emergency-911 button at the top of the screen. Add a "Are you sure you want to call 911?" confirmation.

Again, there should be a safety system which would be only doable by adults, like stepping on the gas when parked

I think the best precaution is to plan your trip so you don’t have to charge late at night.
Dashcam Video should help if there is an incident.
Perhaps calling the police as you pull in to charge and asking them to park their patrol car near you as you charge?
A lot of police sit idly at malls anyway having their Dunkin Donuts.
