FLO app does not show this operational yet.
Whereas other FLO chargers in the area are listed on their in-app map, so these stations may not yet be online.

Also at CF Markville - a Flo site, now operational

They drop these pins willy nilly while they finalize where to put Superchargers
Not really willy-nilly, they put them where the city name label is in Google Maps. Often this can be city hall, as is the case for the one in Toronto and Mississauga. Hwy 7 and Warden just happens to be where the Markham label is in Google Maps - it also happens to be the location of the Markham Town Hall.

NEWS!

Overheard second hand.

1.
The Markham super charger construction is one of three ongoing and active with the same construction bid.
The other two are Etobicoke and Hamilton.

2.
The super charger cabinets for the Markham location are more kW than the previous deployments.
Expectation is quite a bit faster, like a 20 minute charge instead of 40 minutes.

3.
Constructor won bid for 3 locations.
The overall Tesla offer was for bids to cover hundreds of charging bays in Ontario across many sites.

Progress.
Active site today.

Crew has split off a new area that connects towards the electricity poles at the Hwy 7 intersection.
Plastic conduit pipe is being laid in the ground.

Picture taken from Hwy 7 road side towards super charger pad being worked on.
To the right is the new fenced off area that looks to be dug up to run electricity from the poles to the pad.

So are you saying that contractors were asked to bid on a three site contract for Markham, Etobicoke and Hamilton?

If so, why would these three be grouped together, rather than Markham, Vaughan and Concord? And Etobicoke, Mississauga and Meadowvale? Could it be that Vauhgan, Mississauga and Meadowvale and Concord are not going to be done in 2017? The groupings that I suggest would make more sense geographically as you could easily zip back and forth between them during the day, but Markham, Etobicoke and Hamilton are not that close together given GTA traffic.

Hmm... My understanding is the model S can only handle up to 120kW, but that some SuC stalls are capable of delivering up to 145kW currently. Perhaps this is a new cabinet design to allow for fewer cabinets with less area required per stall. Since all indications are this is a 20 stall site, maybe they're using this new design.

Total speculation though.

If these are "ongoing and active" has anyone seen spotted these anywhere??? Send a search party!

(I don't want to derail the thread, but will just share some thoughts. The Hamilton one would be a nice-to-have as it's a gateway to a few different paths. Of course with Woodstock and Grimsby it's not really necessary. Especially ranked against the need for Ottawa. But I'm not going to complain! The more the merrier! Really love the progress the last month!)

That can depend on where you are going. A trip from the east end of Toronto to Brantford could be dicey in cold weather and you wouldn't be near any SCs if you are taking the southern highways like the QEW or 403. It looks like the 407 corridor is starting to fill in nicely.
