A new Supercharger is under construction at the Target in Northern Modesto (3900 Sisk Rd). Obtained the info via Tweet from @erikngyuen with two photos, one of which was taken inside the gate clearly shows bases for Supercharger pedestals. Great news!!

With the general resistance in the valley towards Green Energy, I am pretty happy to hear that this unpreventable change is happening. It is minutes away from Target, Best Buy, Vintage Fair Mall and In-n-Out.

To be honest, I was expecting this to be the place to build it. Pretty happy to know I can charge my car during weekend visits to the location.

Agree with this and if any place stands to benefit from green energy it’s the valley itself: pollution from ICE vehicles and trucks and stationary sources such as fossil power plants makes things pretty bad down here. In the infamous words from a politician I shall not name: “it’s going to happen whether you like it or not...” :D

I think that's a perceived resistance, not actual resistance. For instance, solar power is popular here. See below for a highlight of Central Valley and Bay Area solar installations vs. the rest of the state that I put together (I probably should only include residential installations, but at least it's broken down by installations not output). That said, I'm happy to have all the increase in green energy we can take in the Central Valley and I'm excited to charge in Modesto one day.

Update in Modesto: Superchargers installed yet I still don’t know how many there are, cabinets in place, as well as two other ChargePoints as part of the agreement with Target. Photos from @Q5cLP on Twitter

There are 12 V3 stalls. Construction looks complete, as there’s no more fencing around the chargers and the site has been cleaned up. I would expect that we are now just waiting for the transformer to get there, as it’s arrival has been delayed at other Californian Superchargers as well. Photo by Erik Nguyen on Twitter

Fortunately the transformer will be coming from MID and not PG&E. It may arrive sooner than we think!
