If my Google Earth skills are any good, then I'll go with:

Meijer, 5300 Harvey St, Muskegon, MI 49444

Oh, and it's @BlueShift

I'm sure the "e" is important. :)

Looks like this one could possibly be 10 stalls from one of the pictures??? If so that's exciting.

This does bring Michigan to 6 under construction now.

Just like the Big Rapids charger (under construction), this charger is nowhere on Tesla's '17 or '18 map. Strange.

This is because these sites are part of Tesla's Other Master Plan.

The Michigan Meijer Network will be used as bases by the rEVolution, Tesla's guerilla tech group, that will arrange secret meetings with owners to repair their cars out of sight of the prying eyes of the Michigan SOS.

Don't be surprised to get midnight appointments. Using a whisper-quiet fleet of ninja-black Model Ses instead of cargo vans, the rEVolution will be able to visit, repair and be gone without waking the neighbors.

All the talk about The Boring Company developing technology for Mars or underground hyperloops is just a ruse. There'll be tunnel entrances all over Northern Ohio soon. Holey Toledo!

Michigan is getting a lot of love:

With Muskegon, the state now has 6 "Under Construction" + 10 extant chargers - that vaults MI into 5th place among the US states, behind only NY (20), FL (22), TX (33) and CA().

This is known in industry parlance as Feeding The Hand That Bites Them. Let's all hope it works!

So you'd want to start your journey out with a 30 minute wait? Why not pay $8 bucks and charge in your garage the night before?

Not sure about you, but my 30 minutes are worth much more than $8.

It's probably not even $8 when you think about it... I already charge my car to 70% every day, so if I was going to go on a long trip and I wanted to charge up to 100% before heading out then it would only be the last 30% that I'd be putting in the battery. Also, that last 20% takes a long time to add at a SC, whereas it happens overnight at home (while I'm sleeping). So yeah, charging at home before a trip, for me at least, is the way to go.

This one makes it easier for people coming from Chicago .... as well as us locals who might need a charge in the extreme winters we have here... I work in GR, but commute, and while we have destination charging at work, they aren't always available.

Having a supercharger in your town actually has some advantages, even if they're not obvious. Several times I've had extended power outages at my house and have had to drive my ICE car for a couple of days. If I had a supercharger at the Meijer in town I'd be happy to wait 30 minutes (while shopping, so not really waiting) and keep driving on electricity during my power outage.

And if I shop at Meijer anyway I can do a little opportunity charging. If I'll clip a coupon to save $3 on toilet paper why not plug in and save $3 on "fuel" too?

One smaller advantage, but one worth mentioning, is the fun of seeing lots of Teslas in your town. I assume most people on this forum enjoy spotting a Tesla on the road or parked. Having a supercharger nearby vastly improves the odds of satisfying your daily lust for EV porn.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with all of that. When I got my car I actually did not have ANY at home charging for the first 7 weeks that I owned it. Long story...but I was moving so I didn't want to add it to the old place... So for the first few months I lived off the Ann Arbor and Maumee Superchargers. Without those driving my brand new car would have been almost impossible.

I planned my week around going out to the Meijer in A2 so that I could charge up while shopping or while having dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. That experience certainly gave me some great experience on how to drive an EV like a gas car (meaning not charging it up every night). I also learned about the effects of vampire drain when it's super cold outside (February and March in Michigan).

I will say this though...driving 35 miles to charge your car does get old really fast. I was very thankful when I finally got my Tesla Wall connector installed in my garage. It wasn't till then that I truly got the full taste of one of the major benefits of owning an electric car...that being the ability to charge up at home. That's a game changer.
