My first thought was that, because it's a pre-fab install that they hadn't needed to do any concrete pours. But then I looked closer and they built new curbs so there goes my theory. So yes... it's weird.

That plus the prefabs sit on concrete blocks that were poured.

Looks like most of the work is done; just some concrete pouring and the transformer install left to do.

I do hope so. I usually take a trip to my brother’s place in the Valley after Christmas. It would be great to have it there on the way.

There had been on slated for Baddeck until recently. That would have been really useful since the single Flo charger there gets pretty busy.

Yeah, I don’t bother thinking much about it until New Minas is done and the crew can start the setup there.

I drove by yesterday and it was still under construction. The construction fencing was still all around it.

Just saw some photos on FB that show there’s some work going on around the new power pole & wiring conduits, but there’s still no concrete pad for the transformer yet.

I did a trip from Bridgewater to Sydney by spending a night in Baddeck and using the destination chargers at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum

Word from FB is more wire was run, but still no transformer on site.

Glad to see this is getting closer to being done. My wife is currently on a tour with her family from Bridgewater to the Valley and beyond, but they took a gas guzzler instead of our M3 because of range anxiety, given only the Flo DCFC chargers scattered about. We have the use of a CHAdeMO adapter, but you can’t always rely on a single charger being available.
