No. Construction isn't going to start here for at least a few months. Tesla hasn't yet received planning board approval for the project yet, their application goes before the board May 10th. After that, and assuming they are approved, they'll need to apply for building permits. Usually a minimum of a few months to get those approved and issued. Then there may be waiting until Tesla or their contractor is ready to start on this specific location, etc.

Supercharger equipment has started arriving here and the area is fenced off. Looks like the pace of construction is picking up quickly.
Any pictures? Would be nice to change that to a cone on supercharge.info

New to this all so hard for me to guage if V2 or V3? Will also check out supercharge.info. They made decent progress. Seems possible for parking spots and transformers to be wrapped up by next week. The trench for power feed is still open by utility poles so there might be a delay on that final connection to utilities.

Thanks for the photos. Tesla hasn’t started a new-build 150 kW V2 in about 2 years. They finished up the remaining 150 kW sites that were in process and they now are almost all 250 kW V3. They have built a few 72 kW Urban sites since then though.
The 150 kW and 250 kW stall designs look similar, but the 72 kW stalls are much smaller. The large square cabinets with the vents around the top are the 250 kW Superchargers themselves that do the power conversion into DC to feed directly to your battery. Both 150 kW and 72 kW Urban use the same size tall rectangular cabinet. Your pictures show the 250 kW Supercharger cabinets which will be hooked up to the “highway-style” stalls.

V3. The photo with the information plate from the cabinet says "Output Power 250kW" under "POST DC Output".
Very exciting to see this move quickly.
Thruway is difficult given its high speeds and ascents and busy winter travel. All drains on battery.
Very much needed.
The exit 19 SC is good but v2.
The exit 17 is just horrible. Far off highway, only 6 stalls, and v2.
And then it's nuttin for awhile until getting near nyc.

I dug around on Supercharge.info. The last fully V2 installation (8 stalls) that wasn't just a temp expansion of an existing site went live Dec 12th up in Seattle, but it's in a garage and not 24/7 access. There was a 12 stall V2 that went hot on Oct 20th in CT. That was the last proper new 24/7 available public V2 supercharger installed. All new locations since then (beyond temp setups and a tiny few urban 72kW sites) are 250kW V3.

Looks the same today a week later for the most part. They have been working late into the night a few nights though to keep it moving.

All wires are in the conduit from supercharger, under the sidewalk and now up the pole halfway. Might be at that hurry up and wait for utility to do final connection part of the project. Everything else seems to be ready visually.

Everything appears to be hooked up! The green transformer box which I assume is the utilities hand off before going to the larger white boxes is humming. The white boxes appear to be silent but that might be a matter of nobody charging? The charger plugs dont light up and the meter is all zeroed out so I am guessing it is waiting final turn on by Tesla. Who is going to get first charge and get that meter above zero?

Exit 17 is Newburgh right? It's in rough shape as well. Only 5 pedestals working last I was there. Avoid at all costs.
