I finally stopped by the Glacier Hills service plaza, while heading to Pittsburgh. I saw some paint markings where they're installing more Turnpike Superchargers! (Based on the construction at the Blue Heron and Wyandot plazas this location in the parking lot makes sense.)
This is a really nice place to stop and take a break, it has a nice dog area, and food options inside.

The Mahoning Valley Plaza (westbound) is located at 40.940506384170526, -80.58594725041272 and the Glacier Hills Plaza (eastbound) is located at 40.938858303988376, -80.58639071785078

Both service plazas are under construction. 20 parking spaces are fenced off. This could end up being more than 8 stalls.

Nice! It seemed like a really big area when I saw it too, that's a pleasant surprise if there'll be more than 8. Side thing, your Model 3 is sharp! Fun license plate also. Keep up the great work!

All of the other sites have two power cabinets on-site, so they’ll all probably have 8 stalls.

This is MOST EXCELLENT timing!

My daughter starts at Kent University in a couple weeks and this will be much better than the Girard detour we did during orientation.

This looks like it’ll be a big install! (Stopped at Mahoning Valley this time, the westbound side.) There’s a trench, with forms, running behind almost all of the spots that were marked. I’m not sure if they’re expanding the parking lot too or if it’s just area for the transformers, but there’s a lot of extra grass dug up. There paint markings that go out that far too.
Looking across I-80 I’d say the Glacier Hills Service Plaza is at around the same place progress wise.
It was really busy today with most parking spots full and lines at the gas pumps. That’s another reason I thought they might expand the lot a little bit.

If you’ve never stopped at one of these service plazas here are a few pictures of the inside. (Extra pictures in the following post, I hit the limit in this one.) They’ve all been nice a clean like this, in my experience.

Stopped by the west-bound site yesterday, September 8, and was happy to see progress and activity.

At the eastbound side today, Sept 11. It’s not as far along as the one across the street. I counted 10 gray conduits that appear to be where the SC stalls will be.

I stopped at the east bound SC yesterday. It has a lot of work still to be done. It looked like maybe the power cabinets were installed but no real progress on the actual charging stations from the update last week by BigRiver. We didn't stop at the westbound side as it was late, but from the highway it looked much farther along. All the chargers looked nice standing there in the nice, big, overhead lights.

Drove through the westbound side and spotted the eastbound side from there -- both sides still fenced off and mini-dozers/landscape machines are inside the fences... so, not gonna be this week.
