I suggested in a Jul 2 2017 post that a logical place for the new Toledo (OH) Supercharger would be at the Meijer location on Alexis Road (Meijer currently hosts the Maumee Supercharger as well as maybe a dozen in the Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio area). Today I found a Commercial Building Permit (BB17-01616) and a Certificate of Zoning (BCZ17-00414) for: Tesla Project -- new installation of 10 electric car charging stations in existing parking lot at Meijer store SIte Prep has been approved but no footers, structural or mechanicals on 6/28/2017 City of Toledo, OH | ePermit Online Perfect location as it will allow westbound I280 traffic heading in to MI to shave a long drive to the SW of Toledo as well as handle N/S traffic along I75. Stay tuned.
To save blueshift time the map address is: 1500 E Alexis Rd, Toledo, OH 43612 I emailed them per instructions at 'about' on supercharge.info --- It sure seems like we should bend over backward to save him time. For supercharger updates send email to: map(at)supercharge.info
BlueShift runs supercharge.info, as @scottf200 mentions. It is common to just tag him in threads with information about new supercharger sites! (If too lazy to email him )
Great news! Cleveland is really lacking in any type of Supercharge coverage. It desperately needs SC's either in Downtown or on the East and West Side of Cleveland on I-90. Going to Macedonia is rather inconvenient, especially if you are traveling East or West on I-90 from Cleveland or through Cleveland. Additionally, it is incredible that none of the hotels off of Chagrin Blvd, I-271/480 near Beachwood have a Destination Charger. Legacy Village with their Hyatt Place Hotel and the new Pincrest development should have Destination Chargers.

Not sure what this post does. It seems that it should also include I-80/90 and US-20 as they run through Toledo as well (and perhaps US-23 though it may be slightly more than 5 miles). Or am I missing the point? And the reference to "diversions: 1.6 miles".
I've been tracking how well Tesla is covering Interstates and filling in the network. Diversion is how much extra distance you'd drive The Supercharger is in the northeast of the city, well away from I-80/I-90. The Maumee, OH Supercharger is "on" I-80/I-90. This Supercharger is only "on" I-75. Although of course it could serve travelers coming from I-80/I-90. When calculating the "neighbors" I'm using a 20 minute, 10 mile diversion limit for any waypoint, and also ignoring anything within 20 minutes and 10 miles of the Supercharger as a waypoint.
Thanks for the clarification. Sorry to be so obtuse. And yes, given all that the only I-80/90 travelers would probably originate to the east and follow I-280 around Toledo to I-75N. One last question: the "u" in some of the routes/distances.
This location is quite nice. Close to I-75 in both directions. I appreciate Maume, don't get me wrong. It's a little out of the way when traveling I-75.
It appears that final plan review is due 9/11/17 if I have read the review process notes correctly @BlueShift
This is great news (once we get a Tesla) as we live in Cleveland but have family back in Metro Detroit that we frequently visit.
In the "It's-a-slow-newsday" department. I stopped by the site of the new 10 stall Toledo Supercharger. The construction permit was issued on 9/7/17. The photos (taken 9/16)show a small construction fence and orange paint outlines depicting location of the transformer ( on small grassy knoll just off the parking lot; location of what I assume will be 5 supercharger cabinets; and the associated electrical switch cabinets. Some demolition markings to remove some pavement but no indication of where the stalls will be located. Photos give a general location reference from the Meijer store on Alexis Rd and from the adjacent fast food locations. [/ATTACH]
