I didnt see this posted yet but I spotted 16 urban type superchargers on Mowry Ave at the new Lazy Dog Cafe. Interestingly very close proximity to the Fremont Hub and provides more yet another option in this area on the 880 corridor.

This Lazy Dog Cafe is a brand new building with construction just finishing up last week which is why this one may have flown under radar?

Lazy Dog Cafe, McDonalds, Rays Crab Shack are very close by. New Park Mall is a 5 minute walk.

Pedastals look complete but no Tesla signage yet. Handles/cables are stilled wrapped up.

Need to add a new Supercharger thread for the 16 urban superchargers i just came across in the parking lot of a brand new Lazy dog restaurant in Newark California. Not yet operational, at 3100 Newpark Mall, Newark, CA 94560 20181110_152015.jpg

Nice find. Wasn't even on the Tesla "planned locations" map, so must have been an opportunity that came up with the redevelopment!

No one spotted this during construction? Great surprise!

Is this the first time we've seen the urban style superchargers out in the pavement like this? So far the urban superchargers I've seen are oriented perpendicular to the parking spot and at the back end of the parking spot.

This orientation would appear to be great for backing in with a rear mounted bike rack.

I think one of the recent San Diego ones was half the stalls sticking out, the other half along the edge.

Edit: It was Carlsbad - Supercharger - Carlsbad, 7710 El Camino Real (LIVE 27 Sep 2018, 20 Urban type)

    Nice find! Thanks for posting.

As has been noted, this location is not shown on Tesla’s Find Us page. This is the second California Supercharger location find this month that is not on that page: the other one is at Santana Row in San Jose.

There are so many new Model 3 owners in the SF Bay Area this year, it’s good to see these new locations popping up. I predict we will have more surprises like this in the near future.

I had to go check it out. Well at 7:45 pm on a Sunday night, every single parking spot was taken. Unless they're going to enforce towing against ICE cars, it's going to be problematic during restaurant busy hours.

They're going to have to put cones there. Tesla owners will know enough to move them but hopefully ICE drivers won't.

There aren't even signs right now, right? That's usually the big deterrent as far as I know.

A nice surprise. When visiting family in Newark/Union City I now have a restaurant recommendation.

I drove past it on Saturday and didn't see anything significantly different from what was in post #4 in this thread. In particular, the cables are still wrapped up.

    Bruce.

PS. Was coming from TeaTop around the corner on Cedar Blvd., good boba tea drinks.

You can't go around the tri-city without seeing boba places and model 3's at every other corner.

I went to the Lazy Dog on the 21st. I hadn't seen this thread prior to going there and didn't know to look for the chargers, but I didn't see them. In fact, I was lucky to find a space at all. After I was told that it would take 1.5 hours for a table, I gave up and ate somewhere else. Frankly, I can't see how this can work as a charging location during dinner time, or lunch time. There might be some times of the day when there will be parking, but it would have made sense to put superchargers (or any chargers) in the main lot at the far end from stores.

I figured that since this was a new location, it would take a while before it became so crowded since people wouldn't be familiar with the restaurant, but given the crowds there already, I expect it to get worse.

Update: No visible changes in the past three weeks. Landscaping is done but no signage. Still no power and plenty of stalls are iced, but a few new owners still trying to plug in. It's good to see a few Teslas lined up though. 20181221_125421.jpg 20181221_125439.jpg
