Noticed it yesterday by accident. Thought i picked the Lexington one and was wondering why nav was having me go down 95 South when I selected while in Waltham
I was able to charge in Newton tonight at 200+ kW. This is a great location. I am glad to have it live!
Stopped here on the way to Boston. Fun: there’s a couple of construction types digging away with a mini-backhoe and installing electrical stuff. I asked, politely, “What’s up?”
One of the fellows said they’re putting in a pair of DC fast chargers from ChargePoint!

Thanks for the update - was waiting for this to happen. Should be the same setup they did at the Lexington rest stop.
I don't disagree with the comment - however I would be really surprised if they were any different than what was installed in Lexington.
I agree with that. I fully expect that the same contract or a near identical contract was probably used.

I happened to notice in the app this morning that the entire Newton 128 site is shown out of order. I have no idea why. I'm going up and down 128 later today. If it's still marked as out when I pass it, I'll pull in for a look.
Thanks - just noted that as well. Could be routine maintenance, or possibly CCS-enablement related upgrades that are rumored to be underway at most if not all superchargers across the country prior to 3rd party NCAS-->CCS adapter availability next year.
Burlington just went into a temp-closure - I think the two sites are getting CCS-enabled (not necessarily MagicDock enabled to distinguish the two).

Newton is now back online while Burlington shows a wrench icon with 4 of 12 available. I think your explanation fits. Thanks!
