I'm curious to know if Tesla is leasing these locations or if they are buying real estate? Are there any records indicating this?

They don't buy the real estate for any of the Supercharger locations unless they already own the property for some other reason like one of their service centers.

Hm, and do I see some wood forms or braces on the Supercharger conduits? And the blacktop looks cleaner...although we did have some rain... But I'm pretty sure that there's some wood forms around the conduit now...

Forms for the stalls are in place. Looks like 4 per side rather the usual straight 8.

Progress as of this evening (10:30pm, Friday 8/4/2017), Supercharger/switch gear wall panels are up, stalls are up, no transformer in place:

Looking at the most recent photos from @Lanny and @Mirlen it looks like there are 5 chargers and 10 stalls total, not the 8 stalls noted previously. (Hey @BlueShift - got an update for you...)
- more capacity is always good news!

I am probably mistaken but the spacing looks a little off (too close together) based on my experience with most common parking lot striping. Of course sometimes existing parking lots are striped with wider spaces than others but that is usually a pleasant surprise and not the normal trend.

As veterans of Newark will tell you, bad stripe painting is a celebrated tradition around here.
