This location is super disappointing to me. I was hoping for more of a closer to downtown location with how close Pleasant Prarie is to Oak Creek.
This is in the new Drexel Town Square development. While the chargers are in a Meijer parking lot, they are within walking distance to many decent sit-down and fast food restaurants. Also about a mile down the street from Wisconsin's first IKEA opening next summer.
The Plan Commission Report, with detailed plans, recommending approval is in the meeting packet starting on page 138 of the PDF. The superchargers will be on the east end of the northernmost row of parking spaces.
Woo! I was the one to get this location added to supercharge.info hot off the press of the oak creek planning commission twitter feed. I don’t even own a Tesla yet but excited to see one popping up in my area.
Thank you for discovering this future supercharger. This will be very important when I: 1. Get my model 3 2. Visit relatives in Milwaukee
I would have preferred a more central location but I'm glad there will be a "nearby" supercharger in the Milwaukee area so if I need to drive to Milwaukee for the weekend from Madison I will no longer need to conserve juice to be able to make it back.
I was hoping for one around Johnson Creek, in the outlet mall. That would make the Milwaukee/Madison commute very easy. Also an easy on/off. Guess this is better than nothing which is what Milwaukee had before.
Going to airport today. Anybody been by recently to check on progress. I may have time to stop by and get some pictures of the work area if I can find it. I will report back most likely tomorrow.
Finally made it over to the Oak Creek site. Nothing to see. This is where the GPS told me it would be, no vehicles, or construction tape to say for sure where they will be installing these.
