I could walk to the HyVee. It has a nice restaurant and across the the street is Burger King and KFC.

The chargers will be on the NW side of the building. I talked to one of the workers who said they're installing 8 chargers. He said it typically takes them about three weeks to finish.

Thanks for the update and welcome PrudeHawkeye. It seems like this are moving really fast, the landscaping is already restored in the foreground.

It looks like some type of cinder block enclosure around the charging equipment, not the usual wood/slat set-up.

The bldg owner may have wanted brick to match the building. Brick will hold up and look the same in 2 years or 40 years while wood requires considerable maintenance and replacement.

Where I am, Tesla isn't using wood enclosures any more. May access this new SCh before the end of the summer.

Thanks! Did you see if the big transformer to the left/behind the enclosure has been put in place yet?
As you are looking at the building, it is to the left of the brick enclosure.

Last I was there, there was nothing but a few giant conduits poking out of the ground.

Didn't see if a transformer was in place. There were some workers in there and I didn't want to butt in. I've already gone there twice for pictures I didn't want to be banned as the Tesla Supercharger Stalker.

Drove by last night. Still no transformer or even the cement pad. Just the conduits sticking up out of the ground as Zythryn reported.

The folks doing the installs are quite use to Tesla folks coming around to check things out and take photos. Very friendly folks.

As of yesterday there is still no xformer. OTHO, got to check out HyVee... Not a bad place. Starbucks inside is a kiosk but they have a fairly nice full Starbucks across the street next to (and not in!) the gas station. They also have a J1772 charge point.

Tight on time when I posted above... I walked around the area a fair bit. Very near Hy-Vee has well marked crossings and is fairly safe to walk around. Crossing over to the gas station & Starbucks is a bit dicey if there is much traffic but not terrible.

Crossing 10th towards Cub/Bierstube was totally different. Heading south across 10th I was nearly hit by a car driving quite fast making a right turn on to 10th. A bit later heading back north a car leaving Cub and again driving fairly fast making a left on to 10th slammed on their brakes to keep from hitting me. Both times I was in the crossing with a white crossing light. This is doubly disconcerting as I just returned from a few weeks in Europe where roads are much less dangerous.
