Any activity yet??
If you want to know when to start looking for or expecting activity, go to the permit link in the opening post. When its status changes from "Ready to Issue" to "Issued", you'll know that Tesla's contractor has picked up the permit and that activity is likely to start soon-ish.

Thanx. Thinking of a quick road trip to Kettleman & back. Want to go over 198 (lot of fun to drive - every Tesla should try it) and then come back thru Paso Robles. Was hoping just to get a look at the new location, but if nothing there, will probably head over Pacheco Pass instead. Either direction is within range, so charging enroute not required.
I'm sure any wine tasting in Robles is out of the question during COVID.

Thanks to @mociaf9 for clearing this up for me. The site just passed an underground electrical inspection a few days ago which means the site is under construction. Anyone around to check it out? (Same permit as linked in 1st post)

These were taken on Saturday June 20th I can't say for certain but I am pretty sure this is the site. It is in front of the TJ Max not off to the side in that small parking lot like we might have thought.

GREAT investigative work... looks like this station is now under construction and is located on Starbucks' front doorstep. Could you tell how many pedestals? I think each of those big grey conduits feeds one pedestal with two sides? Thanks for the photos!

I didn't spend a lot of time counting what I think would be the exact number of stalls but my guess right now is 10-12. I drive through here every few weekends so I will check it out every-time I come by.

Construction workers must love the reduction in vehicle traffic during covid. Probably getting a lot more done with much less traffic to contend with. Might mean this goes up sooner too. I love driving this area of California.

From the photos that looks like a lot of parking lot area being torn up and thinking maybe more than 10-12. There's a row by the porta potty and to me two more rows beyond that one. Kind of hard to count but there are quite a number of gray pipes sticking up.

I drove by last night and there appears to be some more progress but not a lot. The Charging cabinets conduits look to be in and if I am counting correctly there will be 7 V3 cabinets at this location which means 28 chargers. The chargers take up three rows of parking. Excited to see how this continues to progress.

I live in San Francisco and the main road trips we do are going to Paso several times a year to visit wineries and spend the night. We have an ICE car now but I have put the route through trip planners. Currently, it says to stop in Salinas on the way to Paso and one the way back BACKTRACK to Atascadero to charge up.

This supercharger location would actually make this trip a lot more practical. It’s even near two of our wine club wineries! Hopefully we’ll have our Tesla and this location will be open not long after things get back to normal.

There are countless destination chargers at inns and wineries in Paso - if you’re staying the night there’s zero reason to not wake up with a fully charged battery.

The SF - Santa Barbara corridor takes a fair amount of planning and can be pretty stressful during peak times. I am so glad to see Pismo up and running and this one going in!!

I agree and they are planning for the future with how many stalls this one appears to have. I will be back in the area in a few weeks time and will take more pictures to show what progress has been made.

Good to know. Although being able to arrive from SF without stopping, charging up in Paso and the supercharger, and then being able to drive around Paso and the area all day would be nice. Our first stop is rarely the hotel.
