I should note that the Tim Horton's at Morris has a J1772 charger on the south wall now. this is 50km (30mi) south of Winnipeg and only 45km (27 mi) north of Pembina and the border , making the trip less of a leap of faith than before. there is at least this emergency option.

I see this L2 mentioned in the Fargo thread. But does anyone know if or when construction starts at Pembina. Can someone stop in Pembina and get a photo?
I'm not going to promise anything, but I'm heading up to Winnipeg this weekend. If the Moorhead CHAdeMO is still down, I'm almost certainly going through Bemidji and crossing at Tolstoi, but I might come back through Pembina. If I get a chance to do so, I'll stop by and take a look.

I would not expect to see much happening at Pembina until Fargo and possibly Grand Forks, or any of the other ND sites with pipes in the ground but no pedestals, get completed.
We were there about 3 weeks ago, didn't look carefully but quick look did not show any signs of work - Again, I too don't expect any activity until we see progress in the rest of North Dakota. A number of sites along I94, as mentioned, have conduits and bases installed, waiting for wires and electrical equipment (and pedestals). They have not even begun digging to the 12-foot-high snow pile at the location in Grand Forks, and expect that to be done first.

By the way there are free 14-50 plugs in Roseau in a public city park. I did 240v 32a there.
Huh. I hadn't thought of that just because it's not on PlugShare. That park is literally walking distance from my grandmother's old place and several of my aunts and uncles.

It is on PlugShare, but you have to turn on the "show 14-50" plug button. I only turn that on when other options are few and far between.
I didn't make it to Pembina, but I did manage to charge in Roseau. They've probably got the best level 2 set up in northern MN in that parking lot.

Yes, It's a nice little town. We had a nice lunch in the Bickhouse Restaurant & Bar.
It's about a 6 block walk to the west.
Could someone change the title of this thread? Every time I read a new post, I have to go back to the OP to see what city we are talking about.

I was thinking that 863 days of permit was a new record, but I see that this only puts it in the top 10 for US sites, and top 20 worldwide.

It would still be nice to have one in Pembina. I often go there to pick up packages from Canada.
I didn't get a reply back from the guy on Twitter. Maybe he didn't have any additional info.
