Massive expansion coming soon to Primm!! Tesla has filed permits to build 32 additional stalls at the Primm Valley Casino and Resort. Seen a larger transformer is required for the build, it leads me to believe the chargers will be built in a different part of the parking lot.

Project Description:

Tesla - Primm, NV
Installation of commercial electric vehicle charging station in existing parking lot. Work to include the installation of 1 utility transformer, 1 switchgear assembly, 8 V3 Supercharger Cabinets, and 32 V3 charging posts.

Interesting. Based on older info, the largest they could do was 7 V3 cabinets connected (28 stalls). If a site had more than that, it would use 2 different utility transformers and be set up as 2 distinct systems that were just side-by-side. So, either that info is no longer correct OR they'll be adding 1 V3 cabinet to the old location and the new install will still be 7 cabinets worth. Or, I guess, the info in the permit could be wrong.

The 7-cabinet/28 stall thing is definitely a limit but it could be a number of things.

I don't think it necessarily means they *have* to be on separate utility connections (although they might be). It could be all on one connection, but 7 of the cabinets are load sharing and 1 is on it's lonesome (or maybe, 4 cabinets are connected to each other, and the other 4 are connected to each other).

Or maybe they have a new system which can connect 8 cabinets! (I honestly don't know where the 7 came from, seems an odd number - literally and logically). I mean if Elon can re-land rockets surely he can connect an 8th cabinet!

Not sure what's going on, it looks OK to me now, and can confirm the co-ords on supercharge.info haven't changed since @MarcoRP added it, so must have been a temporary glitch.
Just to be clear, the blue permit dot is and has been in the right spot. I was referring to the "gmap" link on the "Changes" page on supercharge.info.

FWIW I think it's because the three casinos in Primm are all owned by the same company so somehow on Google Maps, Whiskey Pete's was tied to the Primm Valley "Resort" address. But obviously Las Vegas Blvd is on the east side of the freeway which is where the supercharger construction(expansion?) will be.

The supercharger.info link uses an address for gmap, no coordinates (co-ords imply lat/long).

Wherever Google pulled its map data, something's a bit weird because the west side of the highway should definitely not have a Las Vegas Blvd. address and is instead Primm Blvd. The county's website and GIS data confirms this.

Given how close Baker (40 stalls) is to Las Vegas, I'm puzzled why people would choose to wait in line for Primm, as opposed to skip it entirely when Nav shows "long wait." Unless Baker had lines too, I suppose (although lines move quickly at 40 stall sites).
From reports on the forum, lots of people don't like the Baker supercharger. So, that may have played a part.

I'm not a fan of the Baker SC's but it's more practical to stop there (for us and our style of travel). That road going through town is always a madhouse and so is the gas station where the SC's are at as well. All that said, I'll definitely take more options!

Almost a year ago, was planning to stop at Baker out of curiosity. (Had been to Yermo "Eddie's" to charge) and didn't need Baker. But close to Fwy and wanted to see 'large' charge location. However, after getting off Fwy, decided the traffic mess wasn't worth it. Middle of week - can't imagine Friday and Sunday.
