I always tended to stop in Primm, but mainly because my brother lives in Henderson. So always wanted to be topped off to get around town. I either had to get closer to the Strip or go out to Boulder to use a Supercharger. For me this place will be great, if only for 15-20 minute stop at worst. Never hit the casino's there.

EddieWorld in Yermo, is my preferred stop for bathrooms and snacks coming from LA. But a top off in Primm always worked for me. As others have noted I never did get the advertised top speed from the old SoC's.

Top charging speed is only when you are at the bottom area of level when you plug in. It quickly slows down as charge level rises. The savvy Tesla traveler likes to arrive with the lowest charge level possible and therefore charge at a higher rate - but discontinue after getting enough (plus a buffer) to get to the next charge stop - then repeat. Travel is definitely much quicker that way.

I was at 11 percent SOC and had navigate to SC set about 30 min before arriving. They're just slow and probably won't be addressed as the new location is the priority. Hopefully the new ones aren't delayed months like some of the other new sites I've seen on here. Waiting on transformers etc.

Anyone passing through to see if these new stalls are live?

Surreal experience at this Supercharger yesterday on the way to Vegas. Pulled into the lot and there were two other Tesla's charging. The casino parking lot was literally empty, with only a security vehicle parked next to the casino entrance. I assumed the casino had closed, since the last time I stopped by, the entire half by the outlet mall was being emptied out and the slot machines moved to nearby Buffalo Bills per an employee I talked too.

Decided to walk up to the entrance to see what was going on since the only reason I was there was to deposit some funds in my William Hill sports betting account. Surprisingly, the place was open. Walked inside with my cousin to hit the restroom and hit the sports book to make a deposit. The casino was literally empty, there was not a single person at any of the machines. There was a guy cleaning the restroom, who looked like he belonged in a horror movie. Walked to the sports book, and saw one casino employee walking around nearby. The book was closed with a sign stating that they moved to Buffalo Bills. The bar next to the book was also closed and empty. Sure it was only 10am, but I have never in my life seen an empty casino.

If that casino closes, the McDonald's next door is the nearest food option, though there is a gas station across the street and other fast food nearby. Freaky start to the trip.

That place was a good stopping point in the early 2k. You can go get a cheap hotdog and stroll the mall. Take the tram over to Buffalo bill or the other one across the freeway. Sad to see it dying out.
