The nearby casino isn't one where I would want to be spending a lot of time. They do have a William Hill sports book though. I have a mobile betting app, and stop there on the drive in to deposit funds. I can optionally stop on the way home and pick up winnings should that ever happen.

It was better back in the day when they had an independent sports book. Always hilarious lines on the games involving Southern California teams. I remember betting Texas +9 against USC in the national title game when everyone else had the point spread as 7 :) They got mad when I tried to bet it again at 8.5 and 8!

Primm would be a nice stop - but haven't experienced it as a necessity. I did swing in there one time out of curiosity - but didn't charge - didn't need to. Not a weekend so there were lots of available options along that route.
But as I said - a nice diversion on an uneventful drive.

The Supercharger is a five minute walk from two major commercial sites: Primm Valley Casino, which is nice, and the Outlet Mall at Primm, which is all but dead, a very sad sight indeed. I hope it can be resuscitated somehow, because it used to be a nice place to shop and eat.

Jun 17, 2022 - Primm was full at 11 AM with one car waiting and had 10 cars backed up in line at 11:40. Tesla Energy had a flatbed with 72kw chargers that they were trying to get operational. The new V3 stalls are there and when they go live, Primm will be a good place to charge. Right now, not so much. The charger I was on (1A) didn't kick me to 80% (I left at 78%, but was set to 95%)

Looks like it should be coming online soon! Planning a Vegas trip in about a week. We can make it from Indio, CA to Vegas without stopping however the roads we usually take are washed out and closed from recent storms. Probably going to have to stop at Primm or Baker this time. We usually get to Vegas at around 8-9 percent. Fingers crossed it's online as it's a great spot to charge, especially taking advantage of V3 with a lower SOC.

Still not online as of 8/19/22. Abysmal charge rates at the original SC even with the low SOC and only 2 other cars charging. Probably would have made it to Vegas but didn't want to risk it this time. Left 5 min later and rolled into the Cosmo at 8 percent. New chargers are going to be great.

Looks like a half-dead charging cabinet, or it's stuck in 50/50 shared mode. Moving to a different stall number usually resolves the problem.

I think you may be right about stuck in 50/50 mode. I was here a few months back and tried three separate unpaired stalls on different cabinets (different stall numbers) and couldn't get over 70kw with <15% SoC. I ended up staying until I had enough to get to Baker.
