Any update? I'm hoping to take this route to Osoyoos tomorrow morning... Want to know if I should be popping those aero covers on and run the Crowsnest anyways... Or if I'll have to stop at the Princeton destination chargers instead. EDIT: I suppose I could make it through from Hope since the temperatures haven't dropped too much yet.
I am in Princeton right now staring @ the Supercharger. There are gentlemen here back-filling right now. They say that they will be completely done shortly and that after today it is all on Fortis to bring their box. I will add a picture later
Passed through today too. Some backhoe work taking place. Bummer it was not ready for our last roadtrip of the season, the route from Hope to Osoyoos is much more scenic. Still made it to Osoyoos with 25 percent on our old steed.
Sunday, fence is down, all nicely graded. Still no power yet. Wet snow coming down through Manning Park back to Hope. Only two of us charging in Hope.
Forgot to add, on this weekend trip to Oliver and back to Vancouver, we might have seen only 5 Teslas along this southern route. It will be interesting to see once this charger gets going how many people use this route. For you astute viewers, yes my trunk looks a little open. My latch cincher motor failed in Oliver before we could load luggage. No AP or TACC available in this scenario, and the door open alarm persists for 5 minutes each time we set out. Ranger replacing tomorrow.
I was so excited to see the fencing down today, but no juice just yet. Used the public DCFC in the corner of the same parking lot. Hopefully soon!
Headed through to Vancouver along HIghway 3 on the 10th of November. Any updates as to the status of this supercharger?
Seems to be a long time to power these units up. Anyone able to add some new info on what is going on?
Anyone have an update on this or who to contact at Fortis? I was there late November and it's still down - perfectly ready to go just no power - STILL!
Why are they waiting for Fortis ? I thought it was BC Hydro , that didn’t electrical , and Fortis did natural gas ?
I went by........again............and plugged in..........nada. My unprofessional opinion is that someone just needs to throw a switch. I called Princeton City hall, Carolyn said that there was a crew there two weeks ago but that she has no information on when it would be ready. I charged @ Hope then Manning Park then Rock Creek on Saturday. (The new Rock Creek chargers worked well)
I hate to beat a dead horse, but no one in this thread has shown any evidence of a transformer being in place let alone powered on. Don't let the stalls fool you. They might look nice but they can't do anything without electricity.
