I was at Salisbury yesterday and the tech who had just opened Enfield was in his car doing some complicator work.
We had a chat.
He told me that he had attempted to get 8 more pedestals so as to open Enfield, Quispam, Salisbury and Woodstock all at the same time with 4 chargers each, but had not been able to get 8 more. He said he felt opening them with 2 each was not a good idea for various reasons, and that it was his call that he made.
He also told me that we should expect that given the current massive shortage in pedestals that none of the 3 remaining will be open until August, but that they should for sure be done by the end of August. He's still trying for July, but that seems unlikely.
I am reposting the same info to all 3 affected sites now so people watching just one of them get the same info.
Cheers,
NB
Yeah, but there are no stalls here. What’s your point?Superchargers are opening up all over, just not around here.

I think his point is that the pedestal shortage seems oddly limited to Maine and New Brunswick.
That isn't the case at all.I think his point is that the pedestal shortage seems oddly limited to Maine and New Brunswick.
I don't think that's true, but that sense is likely exacerbated by the fact that there are so many sites all in such a small area that are all affected. A look through the changes tab on SC.info for North America shows that almost all of the recently opened locations are either 72 kW, and therefore unaffected because they use different pedestals, or they were already in construction or built for a long time but had slow progress or a long wait for utility hook-up and/or activation. Just off the top of my head and a quick look at SC.info, other sites that are also currently affected but not in ME or NB include: Blaine, WA; Albert Lea, MN; Swartz Creek, MI; Hudsonville, MI; Henrietta, TX; Burleson, TX; and Salem, VA. There's probably others as well and some locations are too new to tell whether they're affected or not.I think his point is that the pedestal shortage seems oddly limited to Maine and New Brunswick.
And the charging pedestals, which are missing at a few SC construction sites across TX
