Horrible location for commuters and trippers. Ok location for apartment dwellers in the southern Terra Vista and Central Cucamonga area. Southern part of Terra Vista and a lot of central Cucamonga are apartments.

The Cucamonga service center is supposed to close and move to Upland.

I could see why people would like to charge at haven city as a destination, but as resident it would be a lot more useful on Foothill. I.e. go grocery shopping while charging.

I hope they locate it near the edges of the parking lot as the lot can get really busy. As a resident who lives in Terra Vista, I'll come in grab a coffee or something very quickly and leave. So hope they don't take up spots near the entrance.

Cucamonga really needs a 3rd and 4th charger especially one off the 210. Cucamonga #1 and 2 are often full from morning to night.

Was checking some permitting work at my house and while the page was open, I checked the Tesla Haven City project.

Looks like Planning Review is approved (see attachment) and a permit application has been submitted. The city is waiting for Tesla to pay fees right now and is not issued (see attachment). Permit is technically not approved as the thread title says.

If anybody wants to go down to city hall and pay the fees you're welcome to do that. Elon won't mind.

Thought I would give an update. Permit is still NOT issued.

The permit number has changed for reasons I don't understand from PMT-00872 to PMT2023-01170, but it appears there is progress. Plan was just submitted on 3/15 and is expected back 4/3 from both Building review and Engineering review. Permit issuance is getting closer.

Looked at the permitting, there's still 2 outstanding conditions not yet met. Several actions that were due on 4/27. I think they are missing the disabled parking /striping / access info. Plan consolidation is being done... waiting for Cucamonga Water District review, Landlord review, SB County Health review (for charging stalls?) yadda yadda... I think they are still quite away from permit issuance.

I ate at Haven City Market yesterday, zero work or indication they're installing a charger here. Disappointing, I think it would be a great location. The City Market is a great place to eat anyway, and a local spot for many weekday workers and weekend church-goers. Not a great spot for road trips, but I think it'll be adequate for people who rent or don't have home charging.
