The car shows 15 stalls vs. 12 on Supercharge.info. Hopefully we can get an updated count tomorrow.

@Chuq and @MarcoRP it shows up for me too. Trying to get my mom to go charge there! She reported earlier that the fence was gone and said she would try it tomorrow but I'm trying to get her to try it today. I'm not holding my breath though.
I want to try it after I run my battery down low enough to get a real feel for the 250w potential. This time of year, I normally charge when I hit below the 50% level so letting it get down to 8-10% would mean I'd have to run it down by driving it with that as my sole purpose or give up my plugged in preheat on these cold mornings. Guess I could run it down by preheating without plugging it in but that will give my lifetime wh/m number a hit. I'll just wait for warmer weather to give it a true test...;-)

While it is nice to have a new location with 16 stalls, it looks like ALL 16 spots have shared parking. I predict ICEing. Hopefully they will swap out the signs and create dedicated spots as this location becomes more popular.View attachment 493158 View attachment 493159 View attachment 493160
Not sure what anyone could do in 30 minutes at this location unless they were just picking up or dropping off someone/something. Maybe running across the street to place a quick sports bet but that's about it. If they enforce the 30 minutes it won't be too appealing to ICE this location unless they are just doing it to be anti-Tesla and move every 30 minutes. If eating, gambling, attending an event or catching a show, 30 minutes won't cut it.

While your statement is true, enforcement is paramount. I am not sure if the casino wishes to risk pissing off customers (who possibly dropped a bundle at various diversions inside) to enforce a 30-minute time limit. But I hope that we don't have to gamble (as it were) that there will be plenty of spaces to charge when driving through town.

Ha! I would have loved these spots back in my Reno sports betting days :) But I don't think too many people are really doing that grind in Reno any more. Overall the fears of ICEing are generally overstated.

Technically shared spots are no longer legal in Nevada, it is unlawful for a vehicle that is not plugged in to be parked at a charger. SB428 Overview
However, for this law to be enforceable, they need to put signs up.

I have emailed Tesla before at the Tesla Support page about this law, if you have the time, please email them to get them to put up the signs in accordance of the law.

I have personally seen "tough" guys in lifted pickups blocking the supercharger at the atlantis. Doubtful there will be enough ICEing to keep people from charging during normal times of year, but downtown Reno basically gets shut down 10-12 times a year for special events that pack the casino hotels downtown. That lot is right next to where the destination chargers (4) were and they would normally all be ICEed on Fridays and Saturdays. Remember the type of people that visit casinos and classic car shows, they tend to be very entitled and realize they can get away with murder because the casino wants to keep them coming back.

But they did put signs up, and they say "30 MINUTE GENERAL PARKING." So their intent is clear. This is the setup they wanted. You can email them, but you aren't going to get the result you are hoping for.

Well, as I said before, the law does not allow for shared supercharger stalls anymore. Whatever their intent, technically those signs are not correct.

The signs are correct. The law didn't make it illegal to park in a charging stall, supercharger or otherwise. It made it illegal to park in a stall which was designated as a charging stall and appropriately marked/signed as such. These stalls aren't and there's no requirement that any charging stalls be so designated. It's up to the host/owner whether they want to have recourse to that law or not. If they do, then they'll have to designate the stalls as charging stalls and sign/mark them in accordance with the requirements of the law. Contrary to your impression, it isn't just that the law is only enforceable for stalls with proper markings; those are the only stalls where it's applicable. The stalls at this supercharger are intentionally not designated/signed in a manner that would make them fall under that law and that isn't going to change any time soon, if at all.

Unfortunately, you are right. I think some locations with this many superchargers in locations outside Nevada have some spots with this 30-minute general parking but others with charging only signage. That would be helpful if a location is determined to be a frequently used charging location and much needed for EV owners to have at least some of the spots kept free from ICE usage.

Finally had a chance to stop by and try things out. Near as I can tell, it's the 72kW urban Supercharger power system paired with V3 cables. (perhaps a temporary solution until they are able to upgrade to a reliable V3 system down the road). At any rate, nice to have a few more destination chargers (the three new ones are 40A) - they're perfect for grabbing dinner at one of the casino restaurants.

It's definitely a real V3:
