Supercharger - Reston, VA

While the location is certainly less than ideal (as are most in NoVa), this is exciting none the less.

Many of my complaints about SC access in NoVa are fixed with Reston+Ashburn V3 and the Urban in Leesburg and Arlington. Previously going all the way to Springfield was a huge bummer. Other upcoming sites will only make it better.

Some more photos taken 04/10 - looks like 5 on one side and 3 on the other side - can't pull any permit related to this installation on Fairfax County FIDO, see don't know the status of the inspection - but looks ready to open...

when you head into the entrance this is the parking to the left down a ramp and around the corner? the elevators back up to the metro plaza are opposite to this ? if some one could take a picture for posterity which part of the 3 garages that are there this is . is this paid parking these days? a while back it was not and it isn't the Apartment complexes parking area as I remember . when you go into entrance and go right that is the paid parking for the metro

You go down the hill to the last entrance. Head up the ramp go to the left but then make a hard right before the toll gate. Yet another right and then your seeing the picture above. Won’t be easy to find the first time to say the least the wall there is the west elevation wall of the building, or west end

Or you use FSD and the car gets you there and parks at the stall with the optimal charging speed o_O
(in 3 to 6 months max, pending regulatory approval, when the stars align and you have the precise always changing hardware/software config... maybe...)

So, that's 1 MW fully loaded, assuming V3 rev.C at say 10% heat loss. That's about 341 thousand BTU in an hour in that space.

Remember the Bethesda temporary single 90kW supercharger in the Westfield parking garage, esp. in the summertime?
Yeah, an order of magnitude hotter than that. Cheers! :)

That would be at the cabs though right. Those are probably outside (can’t see in the images).

The cabinets are inside, in the corner, behind the 3 stalls on the left side of my pic.

Plus there are three air conditioning condensers in the spacing adding heat of their own.

There are two large exhaust fans on the wall above the three stalls. As long as they’re working, it should keep it from being a sauna.
