In Surrey the super chargers are located at a parking lot location that is not busy most of the year. Tesla owners form a line up easily without hindering regular traffic and cars parking to go to the mall to shop.

I wonder how Richmond center will be. That parking lot is busy and full most of the year with 2+ entrances to the chargers. There are going to be Teslas coming in from all sides trying to access charging spots. Will people be courteous and form a line or will there be chaos and possible flying fists ?

Took these late last night. They've all got their charging cables ready to go. Hopefully 2ere under a week out of the station opening up.

White Rock FTW ! (I really hope)
According to supercharge.info White Rock isn't even at permit stage, so not sure that it would be the next to go. I think Burnaby, being at permit stage is the most reasonable next development in the lower mainland.

The other thing to keep in mind is that Tesla is data driven and so if you live in White Rock but are constantly supercharging in other locations, that would be a basis to spend the capital to develop an urban supercharger. The reality is that most people in White Rock live in detached houses and are likely charging at home, which would obviate any immediate need for an urban supercharging option.

Stopped by the Richmond charger on my way home and then next Tsawwassen mills because Guilford was a bit busy and out of the way. They are almost done!

How long do you guys bet until someone will back into a charger?

Sooner than later if I back into a charger first! :D

I checked on the site two weeks ago. Dang, they made a LOT of progress. Was surprised they got the pedastals so quickly. Most impressive. Can't wait!

You will first see someone drive nose in and try to plug in the cable only to realize it's not long enough.

I was there this morning and saw 3 people working on the electrical. Also a parking enforcer Concorde Security was scanning the cars in the lot. Hopefully if someone try to ICEd the Supercharger they will ticket them too. I guest it depends on the signage that they are going to place in there.

I dropped by Rmd Ctr this morning to take a look (10am 11/28). Lots of activity, 6-8 workers there, fencing down but there’s still barricades and safety cones.

the usual red “Vehicle Charging Only” signs are still conspicuously missing, but hopefully those will be going up soon

When I was there yesterday, the crew were working on the electrical stuff and a Telus van was there too, maybe connecting the Internet network. It looks from your pictures that they are pressure washing the pavement and cleaning up too. Getting ready before the end of November.

An aside - I saw the Concord parking guy driving up and down the aisles in another area in the mall lot. I noticed his car has exterior cameras mounted on both A pillars facing outwards. I guess they use licence plate recognition technology for parking enforcement. A year or so ago I got a $0 parking violation warning for being there >4hrs (I was shopping that whole afternoon) so I guess that’s how they monitor

Don’t think that LPR tech will be any use for detecting ICEing, though
