Elon claimed that they would be breaking ground on V3 chargers starting in a month, that would mean beginning April 15th, so the timing may work out for this being a V3. Would it make sense for ANY new construction to use V2 parts? Especially with the Supercharger update of 19.12.1 starting mass distribution.

-Randy
We are currently on Elon Daylight Time. These will be v2.

Construction is underway on the Richmond CA Supercharger Site. Using the previously aerial photo you will see the location noted by red lines. Also attached are pictures of construction site and construction permit now posted.

Over a month! Any update?
Had a friend swing past today. He said no pedestals were installed yet and no boxes of materials visible on site suggesting they had shown up yet (though they could be in the storage trailer). Only change he saw from what has been posted above is that a large section of the temporary fencing around the construction site had fallen over. He did, however, mention that the Starbucks in that plaza had a notice up on their door saying that their opening hours would be altered on July 20th or 21st because PG&E had told them they were going to be shutting off power for a short period on that morning between 5 and (he thought) 6:30 AM. My hope is that this could be to allow the site to be energized. But maybe not, who knows.

My theory is that the supercharger being built in Emeryville has construction priority over the Richmond one. Maybe the Construction crew that was building this supercharger will resume after Emeryville is completed.
Actually, my theory is that there was an engineering change on the pedestals and they are waiting on manufacturing for the new design. There are several sites spread around the State that have finished construction, but don't have pedestals.
