Visited Monday Nov 20. Fast progress. Yes, it looks to me like raised platform is permanent. Note new style for Urban charger stalls. Second picture taken straight down from top level, showing excavation of HV electrical vault. Worker said depth will be 104". Transformer will probably be installed right next to it, pad poured at same time as walls of vault.

I could get no answer as to when they expect to be done. Conduit in concrete from top level to ground level seems to be in place, but more surface connecting conduit still awaiting installation. Cables to stalls still need to be laid in raceway above. 20 x 2 DC = 40 cables !

22 * 72kW = 1.58 MW not counting efficiency losses.

No sign of footings for solar canopy - bummer. Parking positions below top of parking structure are mostly dedicated to monthly pass holders, so not surprising that Tesla was only able to get roof top area. It is possible 2 stalls on ground floor will be special, not have to buy parking access, but disability access more likely, because no elevator.

My guess is this could be live in 10 days or a little more. Car from local Riverside electric utility on site.

Talked to a contractor today (Monday night) who said they are working tonight then not returning until January and it will be complete early next year . No info on how the parking fees will work for Tesla owners

So, you have to pay to get into the garage so you can use the charger? Hmm that is one way around not providing "free charging" to all model S prior to 2017 purchase...hahaha

The Urban Superchargers are all, or almost all in paid parking because that's the nature of urban parking lots.

At a couple SpC's across the country that I have used that were in paid parking decks, there was free parking for Tesla's. Usually up to 1 hour free, then after that you pay.

Solar canopies would do the trick! ;)

I think Tesla puts stuff on roofs because they like to pick the least desirable parking spaces that are least likely to be ICEd. They might also do it to leave open the option to install solar panels someday. Makes sense given they now make and sell solar panels but it may be a lower priority than say, Model 3.

Latest photos certainly do appear to show the new “urban” Supercharger pedestals. I’ve never seen them in person, but I believe Tesla has released photos of them, that’s what I’m basing my assessment on.
These look like the "urban superchargers" - not the regular superchargers we're used to. If so, would be the first in California

As of Friday 11/15- cable going into conduit - cable already present in raceway behind chargers - and city of riverside on site working at the substation at the street
