I'm actively thinking of buying a Tesla Model S and really want it blacked out ... where did you get your tints done? Also, where did you get the rims & platiwrap on the handles?

I did window tinting, vinyl wrapping of trim pieces (including handles), painting, and powder coating for the wheels. All done by different companies. PM me and I'll send you contact info.

Looks very close to done now. All landscaping is complete and Comed was working on the wiring while I was there. I would say this is less than 2 weeks from opening.

They will be turned on and usually soon thereafter they will appear in the car navigation and on Tesla's web page. Tesla doesn't do ribbon cuttings anymore, but sometimes locals organize their own unofficial grand opening gathering.

I drove by yesterday and spoke with a contractor there. He told me that their work was done and all that remained was for Tesla's quality control people to confirm it's ready. The contractor said it should be ready in a couple days, but of course he's not the QC guy.

Great News. I'm expected to take delivery of my car sometime next week. So it seems probably by the end of the weekend it should be open. Perfect Timing.

This is perfect. I will be visiting my parents in the Northwest suburbs in 2-weeks and thought I would have no way to charge. Now I'll have 10 supercharger just a few minutes away!

Still not functional. Com Ed has yet to come out and set the electric meter - and they aren't the fastest to respond. This could take a while!
