Supercharger rollout stalls in Australia post 2018

Given there are currently 16 new supercharger locations in Australia that are planned to be completed by the end of this year and only 3 new locations planned for the whole of next year - has Tesla effectively declared victory in Australia and therefore decided to focus it's growth elsewhere in future?

No. It wasn’t that long ago that they only announced new locations once per year. They added more sites to the list recently and I’d expect more will be announced as 2019 comes around.

As above. Also Elon just announced at the shareholder meeting that Supercharger 3.0 is close to being done and a renewed & increased rollout will happen after its release.

Yes it makes sense if new tech is around the corner to not roll out more of the old stuff than you really have to. Just have to upgrade it later then. Not a reason to stop deployment, but potentially to slow it a little.

– Third generation superchargers would, wherever possible, include solar and storage to enable them to operate off-grid. They would thus deliver uninterrupted service, “even during a Zombie Apocalypse”.

– The current global network of 10,000 superchargers would be massively expanded to enable an EV to get from anywhere to anywhere.
