I noticed a Tesla technician working on the equipment today. I spoke with him about an opening date. The Tesla side is ready but he said the Charge Point chargers have to be online before the station can be opened. He said he has to take an online class for that. He expects to have that done within a day.
When I stopped by around 1:45 PM the hydraulic lift was gone. The ChargePoint screens had the same display. Someone needs to press a button.
I stopped by at 12PM and there was a PGE truck next to the charging area but no PGE people around. Seems like we are soooo close. I never would have guessed when this started it would take so long to go live.
Stopped by a couple of hours ago. Still same status. Utility power is clearly on, so just need to get those charge point units provisioned and then flip on the Tesla Superchargers is my guess! Hillsboro sadly does not have the utility power on it would seem (ChargePoints are off). Perhaps they need electrical inspected... Also, this location sucks for freeway travel. It is NOT a fast off/on. Kind of disappointing.
I stopped by and saw a couple other people charging. The supercharger worked great without issues. I had not had a chance to test out the higher supercharging speed on my SR+ since before the speed updates. I charge at home 99% of the time but wanted to see what the new charger close to home could do. It was very fast although much more expensive than charging at home. I came into the station with 43 miles and left 10 minutes later with +75 in my battery. Peak charging speed was 155kW. The session cost was $5.27. The charging station does show up in the in vehicle navigation now.
It’s still not listed in the navigation system. It is however listed in the phone app. Great to have this one available.
Maybe it's your Nav data? My picture above shows it in my in car navigation. I'm on nav data 2020.12-11866
It’s interesting. The display screen map shows the Supercharger icon & displays directions. I can type in “Tesla supercharger” & it shows up on a destination options list. I can’t get it to display when I verbally say “navigate to Salem Oregon Tesla Supercharger”.
I tried out this supercharger this morning. Pulled up at 11% SoC. It peaked at 193kW after a couple minutes and was still at 107kW at 50%. Not bad considering it was under 50 degrees!
At those SOC that kWh throughput sounds about right. I know I’ve had just shy of 250 but really just up to about 10-12% SOC, and maintaining closer to ~ 150 kWh up to about 50% SOC, but then it comes down to ~90 pretty quickly after that.
