Any pedestals yet? Any change at all? Construction seems to be moving in Musk units (soon...).

Perfect and crucial charger for our frequent trips from PA to Greenville SC - my calculations say it will allow us to get there with 3 supercharging stops instead of 4, bypassing out of the way Wytheville and saving 30+ minutes on a 12 hour journey. Can’t wait to test my math...

Drove by last night (on my way home from Atlanta)….still no pedestals. Hopefully this will be done by Thanksgiving and yes, it will be convenient for those travelling I-81 south then I-77 south. The Mount Airy SC looks to be about 6 miles from I-77, not terribly convenient.

I will go by tomorrow and post an update. And check out what I saw on Twitter today. Now know where are the pedestals are going. Almost 30 superchargers in Canada just north of the border.

I stopped by this morning just for some coffee and a snack, without even realizing there was a supercharger under construction. I was surprised to see it when I pulled in since it's not on the in-car map, and confused when I tried to charge but nothing happened. Seems like I have good timing to provide an update.

No power, but it shouldn't be long now.

I think the logjam of pedestal installation is freed. There was another install in Newport News that had been waiting on pedestals for a while and they were just installed as well. This bodes well for travel to SWVA this fall!

Same in S. Charlotte, which also got the pedestals last week. It's happening!!!

It can’t come soon enough. I stopped at the “old” Charlotte charger today and one stall (3A, I think) still isn’t working and there was a 2 car wait when I arrived.

Were you able to plug in and didn't get a charge, or unable to plug in using the button on the plug? I'm just wondering if the button to open the charge port is on the same circuitry as the charging system.

I'm pretty sure a Supercharger site is not active if the word Tesla up top is not illuminated.

Well the supercharger cable got stuck in my port after I plugged it in (which caused about 3 seconds of panic). Pushing the button on the supercharger cable caused the car to release the cable. I think the button isn't powered and works through some other mechanism.

At the super charger in Charlottesville (1A) on Saturday, the button didn't work to stop charging and remove the plug. I had to go inside the car and press stop charging, and then unlock charge port before I could free the connector. So it's not a big deal when the button on the charger is broken.
