Marco found a permit for Superchargers at the Ikea located at 2149 Fenton Pkwy, San Diego, CA 92108.

Scope of work:

Installation of Tesla Electric Vehicle Charging stations and associated AC and DC Equipment. Concrete Equipment pads and walkway. New parking striping, signage and accessible features.

The latitude, longitude land directly on the IKEA building, so guessing this will be located somewhere in the vast IKEA parking lot (vs near the other DC chargers).
The number of stalls is not notated (it is not 8 per supercharge.info). Given the ample size of the lot, going to guess somewhere between 24-48.
Good central San Diego location - over 50 stalls just down the street in the Fashion Valley area, but still need more (said with greed)

For sure. If you come in via Fenton, vs Northside though it usually isn't quite as bad, since you wont get held up in the long line traffic for Costco gas.

would be great contrast (hopefully) to see folks wait 30 minutes in line for gas at Costco adjacent to folks charging up in 15-20 minutes at the superchargers

just to clarify my above comment, the EVGo station is mid-parking lot and actually operational fine just old.

Looks like construction is getting under way...Tall fencing up, lots of conduit inside, couple of guys working, looks like they are just getting started. USA paint markings are on the asphalt all over. The location is in the parking row between Ikea and the Costco Auto Center, but closer to the Auto Center than Ikea...

Given that many landlords have rules against construction on their properties during the holiday period, I'm a little surprised they are just getting started now. So maybe the construction is slated to be a little faster than I'm expecting, although transformers are still in short supply to power the equipment.

Sometimes Tesla has to take what the landlord will agree to...Like people have said, it's a busy lot. That probably had something to do with the 8 stall choice...

The two white cabinets in FentonParkway20.jpg look like switchgear cabinets, and not the V3 cabinets with the vent screen at the top.
If one looks at the first picture in
this post about Rancharrah Pkwy in Reno
one sees the exact same paired switchgear cabinets, set beside another cabinet for connecting from the transformer.
(and 3 of 6 V3 cabinets fully visible to left.)
Rancharrah Pkwy has 24 V3s, so this site could very well have more than 8 stalls.

Made a visit last night to the construction site. Much progress has been made; dispensers are installed, ADA stall leveling asphalt in place (must be plus/minus 2%), paint striping completed, bollards in place, construction fencing removed around the dispensers, just no transformer yet.

And the best news of all? There are 16 stalls, not 8!!!

I don't think anything has changed since December. I live nearby and check the app frequently as it would be my most convenient location to charge.
