Supercharger - San Jose, CA - East Capitol Expressway (LIVE 28 Aug 2020, 20 V3 stalls)

Went there yesterday to pick up order from Back a Yard. And notice these new chargers, tried to charge but button will activate my door. Wondering how long it’s gonna take to be up and running, definitely a good spot to charge

According to others - the BIG GREEN transformer has yet to be installed (although one reported that the cable button opened the charge door - strange).
Once transformer happens - usually a few days later.

From my recollections it's usually a week or two, but I vaguely remember some were just a couple days and others could be months. There's a high variability depending on factors that we don't completely understand.

Stopped by this morning, really could have used it!

There were a couple people working on the stations (gave me a chance to see the guts of the V3). They told me that between Tesla & PG&E it may be a while ... weeks to months ... before the station opens. Grrrrrr .....

“San Jose, CA - East Capitol Expressway” is apparently the official name of this place. And I confirm it’s up, charging here with 2 Model S and a Model 3.

Reminder ... when leaving to get back to US 101 ( or heading east) from there, go around behind the grocery store to exit at the light. If you follow what seems to be the obvious exit on the lane alongside the golf course, you are forced to turn away from US 101 which puts you almost a mile in the wrong direction to make the first available u-turn.
