After several months of watching, Found it! As suspected, its going to be at the Target. Good location. Lots of open parking, lots of other stuff nearby (including the new City Center complex) http://www.ci.san-ramon.ca.us/UserFiles/Servers/Server_10826046/File/Our%20City/Departments/Community%20Development/Planning/Current%20Project%20List/projectlist.pdf
Great find: 16 Supercharger stalls and three L2 charger posts. That should help relieve Dublin. 2610 Bishop Dr, San Ramon, CA 94583 Google Maps
Cool! I may use this one maybe twice a year or so. It is right across from work for me - handy to charge all the way up on those couple of occasions a year where my wife and I leave straight from work to go to Monterey or some other trip like that.
Looks like its on track for approval (Draft approval notice): https://www.ci.san-ramon.ca.us/UserFiles/Servers/Server_10826046/File/zanotice04-02-2018.pdf Also notice of public hearing: https://www.ci.san-ramon.ca.us/UserFiles/Servers/Server_10826046/File/Our City/Departments/Community Development/Planning/noitce04-02-2018.pdf Looks like from the notice these will be on the side adjacent to bishop drive. Not adjacent to bollinger/freeway ramps. Interesting...
Thanks for the photos. Hopefully the area won't get ICE'd. That's the one nice thing about Dublin, the only people that would ever park there are Tesla's.
I guess this explains the location. Hopefully now that they've announced the plan this location will get started. Target’s Charging Up Its Electric Vehicle Program to Reach More Than 20 States
Only update online is the 4/30 san ramon projects list which states it as planning approved. San Ramon doesn't have an online permit search. I've seen no sign of imminent construction.
5/31 projects list now published says approved, building permit issued 6/6/18. So some progress. I haven't been by there recently but they are likely getting close to breaking ground.
Took a few myself today. Conduit for pedestals is in, and pads are formed for the cabinets but not poured or back filled. These guys are moving fast.
Thanks @Darksoldier360 and @Larry for pictures! It looks consistent with a Supercharger installation, but did you see any Tesla crates on site yet? Bruce.
Transformers are going in. Just asked the guy doing the wiring and he said 16 are going in. Assuming that's accurate what I don't know is urban or not, though I'm assuming urban because of location.
