Let's see if the "missing" pictures can be uploaded. Seems to have worked. Not sure why it wouldn't in the first place. I guess I exceeded some limit.

Ahh, that explains the huge footings. That sign is huge! Look at the guy standing inside it --- he looks like a speck. (I don't see how they prevent it from flying toward the crane in wind. This is a non-wind activity.)

Such buffoons to stripe it the stalls the wrong way. Guess he will have to come back, cover up the old and start over.

Frankly, I think it's all still at a stage where the cosmetics (striping, painting, etc.) will come last. I don't think they can do the final bits until the third sign is completed. Too many large vehicles such as a crane will be operating nearby. We'll see eventually, of course, but I'm pretty sure we've not seen the painting completed.

Looks like new surface paving and striping. And, it appears this is the final look. No sign of the transformer. See attached.

I went by the site about 11:15 today and found that the construction fences have been taken away, bumpers installed, and about ready for prime time . . . or so I thought. I saw a fellow doing some final touches on the stalls who was quite friendly and accommodating. It turns out he is the person in charge of the installation (perhaps the owner) who was very informative. He even gave me tour of the "innards" of the super charger. (Some of that is in the photos attached.) Further, he informed me that the city was coming by Monday for an inspection. I believe he said that his job was done. Alas, there is no transformer installed. That's up to Edison, he said. They have to run a long wire(s) to the transformer and it would be a big deal, he indicated. There is still a construction fence around the sign area, and that intrudes on access to some of the stalls. (See photo of the sign area.) I can't imagine they will open the super charger until all of that clutter is out of the way. Again, as a reminder, a sign company fellow said their deadline is the end of the month. The contractor also indicated he thought the SC wouldn't be available until about the end of the month, perhaps a tad sooner. Progress is afoot!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that the owner of the company or whomever he is didn't know about supercharge.info. He was most curious, particularly when I told him that he and his crew are social media stars!!

Stopped by Saturday, October 8, and hey is mine the first Model S to park in a Supercharger stall here?

I reached in the dispenser and tried the trigger but it didn't trigger my charging port, so no juice. I shot the picture standing on the pad for the missing transformer, so that would explain it.

I was gone for nearly a week, returning late last night. I drove by the site this morning and could see no change whatsoever from last week to the Super Charger or the large sign. And, no transformer. Alas. I'll keep my eyes on it.

Perhaps the transformer is eminent if the Buena Park location recently had it installed.

Drove by yesterday, no sign of any further work. No transformer pad yet and all the stalls are still covered up with plastic.

Just stopped by and took the three photos attached. I talked to an electrician Monday who told me the city inspection was completed and their work is done. You'll see that the large video screen mount is under construction. I am still figuring it has to be completed before the SC opens. And there's that minor detail of the missing transformer! The electrician had no idea about that. He did say he figured the SC would open in no more than a month. Groan.
