Supercharger - Santa Clara, CA (Live 17 Sep 2020, 18 urban stalls)

First noticed construction here about a month ago but never thought it was a Tesla charging site until a few familiar electrical cabinets started to appear. Looked through the Santa Clara permit database and what do you know, a permit for a 18 stall site (BLD2019-56903).

Address: 3945 Rivermark Plaza, Santa Clara, CA

Charger stalls are on the second level of the parking structure next to the Hyatt House Hotel.

I believe V3 are usually installed in sets of 4. So I'm going to guess this will be an Urban Supercharger and not V3

Sticker says "CABINET, UC, SC - 072x2", so that should be Urban type.

Those apartment dwellers should be doublely happpy: nearby charging for Tesla cars and no ICE cars parked there spewing noxious fumes right next to where they live.

Nice find @Dag! Nice to see new SC going up during covid and ready for drivers as things open up. Being located between 237 and 101 and 880 and near Levi Stadium, Great America and Mercado Shopping Center will be a big plus for the area.

That's a really close cluster of urban charges, with the North San Jose one at the Target due north of this location shown in the map in previous post. Hopefully with occupied vehicles at the supercharger, there would be less motivation for break-ins. This shopping center had its fair share of smash and grabs pre-covid.

today's update: the conduit appears to be fully in and the ground has been paved. the charging cabinets are installed. however none of the stalls are installed yet or even unpacked.

Transformer installed, cabinets installed. Also saw some wall chargers in lower level of the parking structure.

All construction fencing removed. Cabinets still wrapped. Probably awaiting final approval.

I don't know.... if you squint those 'cabinets' kinda looked wrapped - 3 in the picture. Maybe member mka is referring to those. (The ones at the end of the 'stalls').

Looks like all tape is removed. I just walked by today, so couldn't plug in and try.
