I went, it’s totally ready. Maybe Tesla has a contractual date for it to start service? That’s my only thought. I assume the first week of January.

The building permit is already finaled. So unless there's some outstanding work for the utility to do or something needs a revision, it should be pretty much ready to go.

Very true. 2 tickets so far. Also ticketed there for not having ALL the carpool stickers in place (just had one rear one in the far bottom right corner).

They already had been paying rent the moment they started construction... likely the commie government of SaMo taking its time to “approve” turning on because they’re all out for holidays.

An update: I called the management company over the weekend. They said they have no date yet for activation - "Still under construction," they said. Uh huh.

Spoke with Mall management. The hold up is “they are waiting on Southern California Edison” therefore there is no eta. When opened, they will make an email blast to those signed up for the mall newsletter. You can sign up by going to www.SantaMonicaPlace.com. Fingers crossed it is sooner than later!

There was activity onsite this morning. The large electrical box they installed on the ground floor (4th street) they put in as part of this project was open and being worked on. There was a single electrician.

The fencing was still up this morning.

Fences are still up today (Thursday 1/31). I count 8 stations uncovered and 2 covered. Can’t wait.
