Great to see that's coming along now! This region really needs more Superchargers.

Next, I'd love to see some in Campo, CA (Golden Acorn travel center / casino) or at least in Alpine, CA . That's a very long stretch of the 8 freeway in mountainous terrain that has zero Superchargers -- especially for driving further east from San Diego. No Superchargers until you get way out to El Centro!

hgpayne's images were working for me on the day they were posted, but I guess they were temporary URLs that have since expired.

Was there on Feb. 20, 2021...really good progress being made, two large boxes have been installed on concrete pads, it's still surrounded by construction fencing. Should be up and running fairly soon.

Sorry. I just pasted the photos in to the message. I guess I need to figure out how to do it better so they persist.

Hopefully I did it right this time. These were taken today, 25 February at about 5 pm. Quite a lot of progress since last week. I spoke with one of the workers and he said if things go well it should be online by the end of March. It probably mainly depends on when SDGE gets out there to do their part.

Unless there are legal easement issues, SDGE is usually pretty prompt on these things.

Why is the pad in front of the distribution cabinets so big? Is that just working area that will be enclosed by a fence or something?

I always thought that it provided the required 3' clearance in front of the cabinet and to have a place to access the cabinets. There can be landscaping right up to the concrete in certain installations, so having the concrete there "reserves" the space to be able to access and service the equipment inside the cabinets...

Stopped by after dark 1 March. Looks like the left chargers are ready. The base on the right ones don't have cement around them like on the left.

Anyone know why the 4 on the left are close together while the right ones are spaced out? Cybertruck ready? There's certainly no way to charge without dropping your trailer unless you block them all by pulling along side.

Typically the larger spaced spots will be handicap accessible but usually that's only 1-2 spaces, not 3.
@bmah are you able to change the thread title to "under construction?"

Was thinking the same thing about the much larger spaces there. . .
